About Casablanca Tours 7 Days tinerary!

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Your private tour starts in Casablanca. Pick up from your accommodation or the airport. Stop at the impressive Mosque of Hassan II, built in 1993. It is the largest mosque in Africa and located on the shores of the city. It is one of the few mosques in Morocco that foreigners are allowed to enter. Continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco and one of four imperial cities. It is home to many royal and authentic sites including the fortified Kasbah of the Oudaia, the Hassan Tower and the ancient Merinid necropolis of Chellah. Later we continue to Chefchaouen, where you overnight in a riad with breakfast.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes

The beautiful “Blue City” Chefchaouen is an easy-going, friendly place with a lot of charm. It is located between two peaks of the Rif Mountains in the northwest of Morocco. Chaouen was occupied by Spain and is much influenced by the Spanish civilization and architecture. You will have enough time to explore the old medina in the morning before we continue to Fes. You can also go for a pleasant morning’s walk (45 to 60 min) from the medina to the Spanish Mosque that sits on a hill overlooking Chefchaouen to the east. In the afternoon we will continue to Fes, where you spend the evening on your own and overnight in a riad with breakfast.

Day 3: Fes / Medina

Start your morning without rush and visit Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Enjoy a private city walking tour through the old medina of Fes. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruits, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and various leather products. The King’s Palace, the tannery and potters are just few sights to experience. You will stop for lunch break at a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch, complete your tour and return to your riad. Explore Fes on your own for dinner or relax at the roof terrace in the evening. Overnight with breakfast.

Day 4: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi desert

After breakfast, cross enchanting landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop en route on interesting places such as the cedar forests by Azrou and in Midelt, a small town famous for its fossils and rocks. Arrive in the late afternoon in Merzouga at the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert. Your camel guide awaits you to carry you to your desert camp. Enjoy the sunset on one of the high sand dunes. Overnight in nomad tents with dinner, traditional Berber music around a campfire and a night full of stars.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi desert – Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

Wake up early to catch the colorful sunrise over the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert, an experience you will never forget. Start your camel trek back to Merzouga, where you enjoy your breakfast and a shower. Move on to visit the impressive Todra Gorge, the highest cliffs of the High Atlas Mountains. Continue to the Dades Gorge, a series of rugged gorges carved out by the Dades River. It is a fascinating and very unique landscape of sedimentary rocks. Overnight in the heart of the Dades Gorge with dinner and breakfast.

Day 6: Dades Gorge – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou along “the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” passing the Rose Valley and the Skoura Oasis. Ait Benhaddou is a famous location of movies like “Gladiator” and “The Games of Thrones”. Take your time to visit the kasbah that is built on a hilltop. It is perhaps the most impressive and well-preserved fortress city in Morocco. After lunch, move on to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Drop off at your riad to spend the evening by your own. Experience the bustling atmosphere of the old medina souks and the famous main square Jemaa el Fna. Overnight with breakfast.

Day 7: Marrakech

Your trip ends today. Check-out time is usually around noon but you are free to leave at any time. Pick up at your riad and transfer to the airport.

~We advise all our clients to purchase the proper travel-insurance that covers theft, loss, injury and medical. Why not approach your holidays with that peace of mind.

~ Security and safety are always our primary concern at Weekly Morocco Tour, and we do not take it lightly. The border with Algeria has been closed for over 2 decades. We do not approach it, so you will have no contact.

~The Western Sahara bordering Mauritania and Algeria has been a disputed territory for over 50 years. Your travels will bring you nowhere near this area.

~You will see police consistently stationed on the road as you travel with us, particularly at the entrance of many towns. They have established check-points to monitor vehicles as well as to control speed. This practice has been in place for many years, and your driver is well aware of the process.

Morocco’s currency is the Dirham (MAD) and is a closed currency. You may be able to purchase it at some foreign exchange counters at airports, but otherwise we advise you to simply use an ATM machine on arrival and throughout the country. They are readily available almost everywhere and are very convenient.

We have a very helpful suggestion. You will want to have small change to offer as tips for everyone from luggage carriers, housekeepers to people in need perhaps. It is hard to come by, so you can pop into any small grocer at the beginning of your tour to collect some snacks and get the coins you will need. This way they will always be handy, and a little goes a long way to thanking people.

Yes, the Casablanca Tour 7 days involves moderate walking and activities that are suitable for most fitness levels. Optional hikes and camel rides can be adjusted based on comfort.
