~ Security and safety are always our primary concern at Weekly Morocco Tour, and we do not take it lightly. The border with Algeria has been closed for over 2 decades. We do not approach it, so you will have no contact.
~The Western Sahara bordering Mauritania and Algeria has been a disputed territory for over 50 years. Your travels will bring you nowhere near this area.
~You will see police consistently stationed on the road as you travel with us, particularly at the entrance of many towns. They have established check-points to monitor vehicles as well as to control speed. This practice has been in place for many years, and your driver is well aware of the process.
Morocco’s currency is the Dirham (MAD) and is a closed currency. You may be able to purchase it at some foreign exchange counters at airports, but otherwise we advise you to simply use an ATM machine on arrival and throughout the country. They are readily available almost everywhere and are very convenient.
We have a very helpful suggestion. You will want to have small change to offer as tips for everyone from luggage carriers, housekeepers to people in need perhaps. It is hard to come by, so you can pop into any small grocer at the beginning of your tour to collect some snacks and get the coins you will need. This way they will always be handy, and a little goes a long way to thanking people.
Yes, the Casablanca Tour 7 days involves moderate walking and activities that are suitable for most fitness levels. Optional hikes and camel rides can be adjusted based on comfort.
